Work set to start on Stoke Lodge pavilion
Cotham School has secured all the funding it needs to fully repair the sports pavilion on the school playing fields at Stoke Lodge.
The school has been allocated a grant from the Government’s Education and Skills Funding Agency and this has been topped up with money from Cotham's capital funds. The school has appointed a local, Bristol based building company to carry out the refurbishment work. The family-owned company will use a small number of Bristol-based sub-contractors for specialist skills and Bristol companies to supply the building materials required to complete this project.
Building works are expected to start on site very soon as the project must be completed by February 2021. Cotham School has full approval from the city council as the landowner to carry out the refurbishment and the scheme of works does not require planning approval.
Cotham School said: “It is great news that students, staff and sports club users will soon have a newly refurbished pavilion to use when they visit our playing fields. We know this will be very popular with everyone, and enhance our sports provision.”
