PUTTING the individual's needs at the heart of its work, whilst building a trusting relationship with its clients is what Accolade Support and Care does best.

PUTTING the individual's needs at the heart of its work, whilst building a trusting relationship with its clients is what Accolade Support and Care does best.
Established by Bishopston resident, Sylwia Latacz, and Patricia VanHelsdingen, the care service was set up in response to the demand for person-centred supervision, delivered in the client’s homes.
The service uses the latest technology, coupled with transparent monitoring practices.
Sylwia and Patricia, both qualified person-centred planning facilitators, have between them 18 years of hands-on experience in the care sector.
They have helped clients with learning disabilities, brain injuries, mental health challenges, dementia and autism.
Their core belief is caring for vulnerable people, by putting the individual and their support network at the very centre of the care provided. The women believe that a positive involvement of the family and friends when creating plans with the individual is important.
Sylwia said: "Our assessment and support is not just around the physical and medical needs of the individual. We look at the emotional well-being, meaningful occupation, education and anything that the individual desires to achieve.
"It’s your life. It’s your future. It’s your care. That’s our starting point – getting to know and understand you. We offer a comprehensive plan that will empower you to have more control and make better choices for the way forward."
As well as being highly committed to their clients’ well-being, they have the same philosophy towards their staff, recognising their hard work and contribution to the organisation.
