Man to appear in court after 30 vehicles damaged in Horfield

Lewis Robert Webb, 26, of Arnall Drive in Henbury appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on Saturday November 30, charged with assault by beating, criminal damage, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

More than 30 vehicles were damaged in Rodbourne Road on Friday morning at about 6.30am.

It was reported that the man crashed his car into a parked taxi and then made his way down Rodbourne Road, attacking cars with a hammer. 

Damage was also caused to a police car before Webb was arrested, reports have revealed. 

Webb was remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court on December 23.
