A recent proposal submitted to the BCR Neighbourhood Partnership for funding is the Living Room Project, aimed at improving the social and physical surroundings of the city.

The project held its first event on June 16 at Brunel Field School, engaging the school community and neighbourhood in planting projects, including a fantastic display of plants in plastic milk containers, hanging from the school railings, framing an exhibition of children’s art work.

Living Room is working with Sustainable Bishopston to creatively think of how to bring about some changes to the area.

Former councillor Daniella Radice and Sally Arthur are leading the project and want to raise awareness around healthy living, safe travel, pollution, space to live and play for a diverse population, supporting wildlife and encouraging growing.
