How a healthy glow could lead to true love

DRIPPING with sweat might not be the most glamorous look when meeting a potential partner.

DRIPPING with sweat might not be the most glamorous look when meeting a potential partner.

But for a Gloucester Road fitness centre and café, speed dating whilst working out is the solution for creating long-lasting love.

Bubalu is hoping to prove that there is truth behind the saying "those that train together, stay together" with a new "Single Sweaty Sundays" session.

Ten men and 10 women meet at 11.30am in the café in their training gear. They then go through to the studio for 45 minutes of cardio kickboxing.

Men and women will train with and against each other in fun activities, so everyone can relax, work at their own pace, and mix.

After a cool down stretch, everyone will return to the café for a selection of healthy, tasty wraps, fresh fruit juices and smoothies.

At 12.45pm, the session will come to an end, allowing people to continue getting to know one another.

According to Mike Bowen, owner of Bubalu, people often generally feel more relaxed on a Sunday. Plus exercise releases happy, feel good endorphins, relaxes and revitalises people, enables people to share the same experiences, and builds confidence.
