ANOTHER accolade has just been added to a local chippy's list of achievements.

ANOTHER accolade has just been added to a local chippy's list of achievements.
The Bishopston Fish Bar - opposite the Nevil Road junction on Gloucester Road - was recently voted as one of the 50 best fish and chip shops in the UK by Fry Magazine.
It was the only fish and chip shop in Bristol to make the list.
Five-hundred shops entered into the competition, which is now in its second year, and according to organisers, the standard was set "exceedingly high".
All of the shops listed in the top 50 achieved a 95 percent rating or above.
Nick Lomvardos, owner of Bishopston Fish Bar, said: "I'm absolutely chuffed to bits - completely overwhelmed and very proud.
"I want to thank my excellent staff, as I couldn't have done it without them - I've been extremely lucky."
Over the past year, Bishopston Fish Bar has also come runner-up for the best fish and chip takeaway in the south and west of England, and also won an award for its "high quality food and service".
Nick added: "Although we've been winning these awards, we're constantly trying to better ourselves and improve our service.
"We're now putting our fish and chips in paper bags, instead of plastic, we've introduced bespoke uniforms, and have put in a new line for credit card payments - all of which have been feedback from entering into these competitions."
This year, Nick and his team are putting themselves forward again for Fish and Chip Shop of the Year 2015, in hope of winning the region.
