RETURNING for a second year is the St Peter’s Hospice Stadium Dash, supported by Bristol Rovers.

Last year's winners of the Stadium DashRETURNING for a second year is the St Peter’s Hospice Stadium Dash, supported by Bristol Rovers.

The event, set up by fundraisers who have first-hand experience of the care provided by St Peter's, challenges Bristolians to race up and down the 415 steps at the Memorial Stadium to raise funds for the charity.

Organisers are encouraging people to sign up and beat last year’s record of 2 minutes 44 seconds, held by 33-year-old Robert Ladd who completed the challenge, alongside his sister, in memory of their father.

St Peter’s Hospice cares for more than 2,670 patients each year, as well as supporting family members.

Event fundraiser for the hospice, Maria del Carmen Moon Park, said: "This is a fab event to get involved in, last year was a huge success and we really want to see people setting the record again!

"It’s also going to be the last time people will have the chance to do something like this at the Memorial Stadium before it is gone."

People can enter individually or as a team of friends, family or colleagues.

The dash is taking place from 10am on June 7. First, second and third prizes will be given to the fastest individuals or teams.

Registration is just £10 and there is no minimum sponsorship amount.
