HUNDREDS of local people flocked to Chandos Road last month for a day of live music, theatre, market stalls and delicious food.

Hosted by the Chandos Road traders, there was a main stage and a performance area, as well as shops offering their products and services.

Kicking off on the main stage was steel pan band, Pan Sonic, then followed by the Redland High School junior choir.

The afternoon saw performances from Sanga, The Little Black Box Theatre, Paul Bradley from "Three Cane Whale", Redland Community Chorus and The Open Secrets.

Bristol's newly elected Lord Mayor, Councillor Alastair Watson, also attended the event.

Festival-goers were also treated to Tai Chi demonstrations, circus workshops, a guided walk around Redland with local architect and conservationist Steve Morris, a performance from David C Johnson - a Bristol-based poet, and the Little Black Box Theatre company.
