Window Wanderland lit up the dark nights in Bishopston on 24 - 26 February when many of the local streets were transformed with magical and amusing images featuring in the windows.

One of those images was a life-size, five feet tall pink Glamingo, named Brenda, made by artist Charlotte Savill and her daughters. Brenda was much admired by onlookers at Window Wanderland but was just too big to remain in the house.

Following an appeal for a new home, Bishopston Library stepped forward and will be a worthy home for the outrageous character that is Brenda.

Charlotte Savill said: “They were really pleased to have her. She’s nice and settled there and brings a smile to people’s faces as she’s so bizzare.”
