GLOUCESTER Road Central will literally be buzzing this month, as art gallery Room 212 prepares for its next window theme – Bee Connected.

To tie in with Bristol Green Week, which runs from June 13-21, artist Sophie Wellan's display will attempt to convey the importance of bees and our reliance on their existence.

The installation will involve mirrors, pressed flowers and vials of honey and seeds.

Owner of the gallery, Sarah Thorp, and many of the other Room 212 artists, will also be exhibiting work which showcases their passion and love of bees.

Outside of the gallery, and other shops in Gloucester Road Central, will be displays of bee and wildlife-friendly plants, and on June 13, a live bee hive take up residence on the street.
