MONKEY Trousers Theatre will be blasting back onto the scene at the end of this month, for its upcoming show, 'The Snot Rocket'.

It follows on from the group's sell-out performances of 'The Pants of Power' earlier on this year, which told the story of Bishopston's favourite puppet, Mr Gotalot, and his shop which sells almost everything and anything.

Alongside his ever-eager shop assistant Sidney, Mr Gotalot has to save his shop from the clutches of Ms Barnet – the conniving landlady who is determined to close the store.

But when Captain Andromeda – a professional space explorer – crash lands her shuttle into the shop, the duo are faced with the additional challenge of getting the adventurer back on her way.

Monkey Trousers is set up by Bishopston mums Charlotte Whitten, who plays Mr Gotalot and Sidney, and Fran Lewis, who plays Ms Barnet.

They said: “There will be plenty of jokes, cheese, snot, songs, dancing, snot, robots and more snot!”

The show, aimed at children aged three to nine years old, lasts around 45 minutes with no interval.

Shows will take place at the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre in Bishopston on June 28 and July 5. Performances are at 10.30am, 1pm and 3.30pm. Tickets are £7 each for aged three and above (babies on laps are free) or £25 for a family of four.

Tickets are available through the Tobacco Factory Theatre box office www.tobaccofactorytheatres.com or by telephoning 0117 902 0344.
