‘New normal’ for pupils at St Bons
It has been an incredibly busy and productive start to the new school year at St Bonaventures.
All members of the school community have shown great resilience in how they have adapted to our new ways of operating under Covid restrictions. The school has continued to offer breakfast and after school club provision since the start of Term 1 and this is working well with children grouped in their year group pods.
As children have moved through the term, the school has been able to introduce some of the ‘normal’ things pupils enjoy in a typical school year, including after school sports clubs such as football, netball and hockey. A Year 4 drama group is working on a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream which pupils plan to film and share with parents.
This year the offer of forest school is extended to pupils in other year groups as well as those in Reception.
During Terms 1 and 2 Open Days have been allocated for prospective parents to sign up to. Tours are taking place in small socially distanced groups. Parents are required to wear masks and will not enter any classrooms.
A video tour will also be available during Term 2 for prospective parents who do not have the opportunity to look around. This will be available via email upon request. Please email email@example.com for more information.
