Winemaker wins first award

A WINE producer from Bishopston is celebrating after winning ‘best local wine’ at the Bristol Good Food Awards.
Ingrid Bates, founder of Dunleavy - a Pinot Noir rose - launched her first batch last year, which sold out in just three days. She has just celebrated the release of her 2013 vintage.
Ingrid planted the vineyard, located in Wrington Vale, in 2008 - weeks before the birth of her first child.
She began her viticultural career ten years ago when she took up a job maintaining a vineyard at Thornbury Castle just outside Bristol.
The Bristol Good Food Awards, held on May 18, recognises the best food and drink in and around Bristol.
The wine is now available in three outlets; Grape & Grind in Gloucester Road, Lye Cross Farm Shop near Wrington and The Wine Shop in Winscombe.
